Jean Sammut started competing in karting at the age of 6 in Bambinos, immediately making an impact with his ability on and off the track and with his great personality. Jean quickly established himself as arguably the top Bambino driver in the UK with 12 wins and 6 podiums at Buckmore Park Bambino Club, 5 gold awards in MSA Bambino karting and 2 wins at Bambino Non-MSA time trials at Fulbeck and Stretton.

 

He moved on to Non-MSA Honda Cadet racing at the age of 7, winning Driver of the Day and Top Novice in his first Non-MSA race, which was followed by multiple wins and podiums. Jean is currently running 2nd in the 2011 Ellough Park Championship.

 

At the end of August 2011, Jean started MSA Honda Cadet racing, with very promising results in his debut races at Three Sisters and Forest Edge. This included a stunning first lap in Heat 2 at Forest Edge where, starting at the back of the grid on a very wet track, he moved up from 21st to 7th in the first lap! Jean plans to build on his MSA racing under the guidance of Ambition Motorsport ahead of racing the 2012 Honda Cadet British Super One Championship.
